Description

By joining us as a Record-to-Report Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and ensuring the timing, accuracy, compliance, and strategic relevance of financial reporting for Emerson Site Finance or Business Unit. You will manage the reporting process, analyze month-end results, and provide actionable insights to support the site, business unit, and WA management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reports and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Analyze the operational results of the different functional teams, including ItP, CtC, ICO, and RtR, sensing data, challenges, and making sound solutions.
  • Tie up numbers, question variations, highlight issues, and connect with functional teams to resolve and work on resolutions in real-time.
  • Serve as Finance Business Partner for the portfolio business unit or site to develop and implement strategic business plans and operating initiatives through data-driven insights.
  • Ensure efficient communication with counterparts, BUs, and sites by delivering factual data, reports, and information on time.
  • Supervise and the Record-to-Report Accounting team and provide mentorship and support.
  • Prepare for external audits and work with auditors to ensure that financial records are in order.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; preferably with a Certified Public Accountant license.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience, including management of an accounting team and positions of increasing responsibility in accounting.
  • Experience working in shared business services or business process outsourcing.
  • Prior experience in supporting business units, preferably in a matrixed organization structure.
  • Prior experience in P&L management.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems with experience in systems development (i.e., Oracle).
  • Proficiency in ERP and regulatory compliance with strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
