Description

Our client is a leading life insurer with operations across the globe. We are now assisting them to look for the Head of Operations Transformation to collaborate closely with Operations users and cross-function stakeholders to identify, lead and execute strategic initiatives for digital transformation, system modernization, process re-engineering and continue improvement.

Operations Transformation Director (Leading Insurer)

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the COO and senior management to develop and execute a comprehensive operations transformation strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement in operational processes and implement initiatives that drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Lead initiatives to promote the adoption of digital tools and platforms across the organization, ensuring that teams are equipped with the necessary training and resources to leverage technology effectively. This includes developing user-friendly interfaces and enhancing digital workflows to streamline processes.
  • Establish a continuous improvement framework that encourages a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Champion the integration of advanced technologies, such as automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, into existing systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify key processes that can be automated or improved through technology to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy, leading to faster decision-making and improved service delivery.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to track progress, address challenges, and report on outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and finance, to ensure operational changes support business objectives and enhance customer experience.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational transformation initiatives and drive accountability across the team.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the COO and executive management on the status of initiatives and progress toward strategic goals.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition to new processes and systems, minimizing disruption to operations.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management, transformation, or a related role, within insurance sector.
  • Solid experience in driving large-scale digital and complex project transformation with proven track record to deliver impactful business results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate large teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Experience with change management methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experienced in leveraging data analytics to deliver tangible action plans.
  • Strong knowledge in Agile principles and practices
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin with good communication and presentation skills
