Global Head of Operational Finance & Shared Service Center

Key Responsibilities

1Strategic Leadership & Transformation

• Implement a new regional Shared Services strategy
• Integrate new country organizations and additional processes

Operational Excellence

• Responsibility for harmonizing and optimizing accounting procedures and processes
• Drive process improvements, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
• Define and implement KPIs related to efficiency and quality
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Oversee global customs arrangements and VAT responsibilities

Digitalization & Automation

• Identify further automation potential in accounting processes and establish them
• Evaluate and implement new technologies

Governance & Compliance

• Establish effective internal control systems
• Work with auditors to ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS)

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop a high-performing Shared Services organization in accounting
• Collaborate closely with finance leadership and other departments
• Representation of the department to executive management
• Actively contribute to the overall finance strategy

Qualification & Requirements

You hold an advanced degree or equivalent education in finance, accounting, or business administration. Additionally, the following qualifications and competencies distinguish you:

• Approx. 10+ years of experience in Finance Operations/Shared Services
• Approx. 8+ years of leadership experience in an international environment
• Strong expertise in financial processes and related areas; knowledge of customs regulations is a plus
• High analytical skills, willingness to drive change, and strong communication skills
• Experience with multinational finance systems and IFRS is desirable
• Strong IT affinity and interest in topics such as Machine Learning, GenAI, etc.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
• Fluent in both English and German at a minimum
