Description
As the Transactional Finance Manager, you’ll lead our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Credit Control functions, ensuring best-in-class service and control across the transactional finance landscape. You’ll be responsible for managing a multi-site team, improving financial processes, and driving cash flow management across the group. This is a highly visible role that involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billings, and Credit Control functions across 3 UK sites
- Oversee trade spend management in collaboration with Commercial teams and Business Partners
- Lead a team of 8 transactional finance professionals
- Drive monthly and period-end reporting for both business and group level
- Manage the audit process and relationships with external auditors
- Improve and maintain robust internal financial controls and processes
- Lead the cash management process and drive improved cash flow across the group
- Support systems and process improvement initiatives
- Deliver project management support for finance and operational initiatives
- Develop and implement finance operations policies and procedures
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support business growth and compliance
- Contribute to improving financial performance and cost efficiency
- Provide ad-hoc support and deliver on special projects as required
Qualification & Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Transactional Finance Manager role
- Strong leadership and people management experience across multi-site teams
- Background in high-volume, fast-paced finance environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and solid financial systems experience
- Experience in driving process improvement and managing change
