Description

We are seeking a visionary Sr. Manager – Strategy to lead our creative AI initiatives across Gap Inc.’s family of brands. This strategic role will drive innovation in both marketing and design functions, focusing on leveraging AI technologies to optimize creative workflows, scale content creation, and revolutionize how we approach design, development, and merchandising. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that bridges emerging AI capabilities with practical applications across our marketing creative services, shared services, and design departments.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Office of AI & Innovation, you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategic roadmaps, and implementing AI solutions that enhance creative outputs while driving operational efficiency. This role requires an exceptional blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and creative sensibility to transform our approach to content creation, design processes, and marketing execution at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic vision to integrate AI across marketing, design, and merchandising functions with measurable business impact
  • Experience leading design thinking sessions and transforming ideas into actionable plans
  • Technical understanding of AI applications for creative workflows, content scaling, and design optimization
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics, shared services operations, and performance measurement
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale programs with educational components and learning outcomes
  • Exceptional communication skills to build consensus among diverse stakeholders and translate complex concepts
  • Experience implementing technology solutions that enhance both creative quality and operational efficiency

Qualification & Requirements

  • A strategic leader with 8+ years of experience in program/project management, with at least 4 years focused on creative technology, AI implementation, or digital transformation initiatives in fashion or retail
  • Someone with deep understanding of AI applications in both marketing and design, including generative AI for content creation, image processing, design assistance, and pattern development
  • A forward-thinking strategist who can identify opportunities to integrate AI across the full creative spectrum from concept development to final execution
  • An effective communicator who can articulate the value of AI technologies to stakeholders across marketing, design, merchandising, and technology teams
  • A collaborative partner who builds relationships with creative directors, designers, marketers, data scientists, and technology vendors
  • A results-oriented professional with experience measuring and reporting on both creative quality improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Someone passionate about the ethical application of AI in creative fields with a strong design sensibility
  • A problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity while driving strategic initiatives forward
