Description

This position is responsible for the oversight of management reports, operational analysis, statistical studies, and developing recommended action for all operational areas within the Accounts Receivable Shared Service Center (AR SSC) and Controllership functions. In addition, this position will drive process improvement by identifying and introducing technology led solutions across the group to enhance efficiency and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance of an effective control environment under SOX 404 for the accounting operations he or she oversees. This includes both key and non-key controls and extends to the timely updating and modification of control design where necessary and the oversight of control remediation activities should exceptions be encountered in testing
  • Responsible for directing the Quality Assurance group performing daily and monthly controls to ensure accuracy of revenue and billings as well as supporting annual audits
  • Direct responsibility for financial planning & analysis of the AR SSC and Controllership Functions: long term plan, annual budget and forecast development, including the gathering of necessary data, development of supporting models, collaborating with business partners to determine assumptions and establish key benchmarks.
  • Develops monthly, quarterly, and ad‐hoc forecasts to provide direction and insight to business leads to support decision making.
  • Works with Controller on key departmental metrics and measuring against identified objectives
  • Collects, analyzes, and presents financial information to department leads identifying risks and opportunities; take a leadership role in developing solutions and driving performance.
  • Provides direction and perspective on strategic business issues and remain current on industry trends and key competitors.
  • Champions best‐practices and assess process improvement opportunities that drive productivity
  • Identifies and implements technology led solutions to address process improvement and productivity opportunities identified
  • Drives Business Intelligence and planning enhancements and improvements; Initiatives will include improving planning processes and supporting business lead accountability with timely analyses and information.
  • Collaborates with finance and business leaders to identify business performance reporting challenges and priorities.
  • Works with other business owners and IT to define business requirements and develop integrated technology solutions.
  • Financial modeling, analysis, and valuation support for new product development and technology proposals.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.
  • Manages assigned personnel. Completes performance evaluations, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 10 or more years of finance experience with exposure to FP&A as well as Internal Controls
  • MBA, CPA or other relevant certifications preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, high energy, and proven ability to manage cross functional initiatives and process transformation
  • Experience as a Finance business partner with an understanding of how managers use financial and operational information to make better business decisions
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence solutions and experience developing reporting solutions
  • Working knowledge and implementation experience related to process automation tools
