Description

The SVP of Accounting & Shared Services will work directly alongside the CFO to revamp and optimize the company’s accounting operations. This role will focus on improving the efficiency and standardization of the shared services department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other financial functions, to ensure streamlined service delivery across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the optimization of the shared services function, ensuring standardized and efficient service delivery across all business units.
  • Enhance processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other critical financial functions.
  • Assess current systems, workflows, and controls, identifying areas for improvement and standardization.
  • Oversee all accounting processes, financial reporting, and shared services operations across the organization.
  • Implement best practices for process improvement, automation, and financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and external audit standards.
  • Manage key internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Partner with the C-suite and business leaders to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and mentor the accounting team to support the company’s continued expansion.
  • Lead the integration of financial operations as the company continues to grow through acquisitions and organic expansion.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong background in shared services, technical accounting operations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing, multi-entity organization, preferably with private equity exposure.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and implement best-in-class financial controls.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a growing accounting department.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
