We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President Business Management
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management – management of the Europe & CIB Risk & Compliance budget:
- Oversight of the Europe & CIB Risk & Compliance budget
- Development of FRP and tracking actuals
- Anaplan knowledge to maintain Forecast through regular updates from golden source data.
- Forecasting via Anaplan to identify challenges in meeting targets incl. headwind reporting
- Manage a robust financial plan to enable effective delivery of Risk & Compliance services
- Review and escalation of out of plan needs ($ and FTE)
- Management and tracking of consultancy approvals and spend
- Work closely with Global R&C to ensure delivery of benefits and ongoing tracking
- Management and tracking of all internal third party activity and spend eg indirect recharges
Qualification & Requirements
- Considerable experience of financial and business planning and management within an international banking environment or within HSBC
- Good understanding of external banking environment – regulatory, political and competitive
- Detailed understanding of the HSBC Group Operating Model across all Global Businesses
- Strong awareness and understanding of HSBCs internal control and operational risk environment
- Excellent understanding of the purpose, values, culture and fundamental framework of Compliance, as well as the broader HSBC organisation.
- Demonstrated results in delivering success and results in terms of budgetary management, resource management, financial planning and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated results in delivering performance improvement, successfully applying innovative thinking.
- Demonstrated experience in managing customer and stakeholder issues in a matrix organizational context
- Global project management experience.
- Experience of line management and management of shared services resources in a similar matrix environment
