Description
As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with our highly motivated and effective team of professionals on a variety of interesting global projects across different industries including but not limited to manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business and industrial services as well as healthcare, software & technology, energy and financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engagements providing post-merger accounting advisory services related to financial reporting, technical accounting issues, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Support clients with the preparation and review of their financial statements and disclosures as per U.S. GAAP or IFRS.
- Assist clients with accounting considerations during mergers and acquisitions. Hands-on experience of ASC-805/IFRS 3 projects including preparation of opening balance sheet, purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment testing, and post-transaction integration. Provide strategic advice on managing accounting challenges throughout the M&A lifecycle.
- Supports clients in providing solutions for complex accounting issues on a day-to-day basis.
- Preparation of accounting position papers for complex accounting topics or issues.
- Support clients in conversion projects IFRS to US GAAP and vice versa; and in implementation of new accounting standards.
- Support clients preparing for IPOs, secondary offerings, or other capital markets transactions. Provide guidance on accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance to help clients navigate the complexities of capital markets.
- Assist clients with accounting considerations during Spin-off’s or Carve-outs, including preparation of Basis of Presentation, workpapers for audit support, complete set of financial statements for the new entity.
- Support clients with various SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, S-1,8-K.
- Work with clients in financial distress or undergoing bankruptcy, providing guidance on Fresh Start Accounting, the application of emerging accounting standards, and restructuring of financial statements.
- Supports companies in evaluation of accounting errors and reconstruction of financial statements, books and records
- Assist with implementation or adoption of new accounting standards and drafting accounting position paper and disclosures based on accounting change.
- Participate and lead respective sections in meetings and conference calls with target company management and with client personnel.
- Lead the project with a team of 2-3 junior professionals.
- Conduct trainings for technical topics for the team members.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines.
- Leadership qualities to manage diverse teams and motivate individuals toward common goals.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address project challenges.
- Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance on career development and skill-building.
- Oversee and manage the performance evaluation process, ensuring clear goal setting, regular feedback, and the development of improvement plans for team members.
- Be actively involved in building and maintaining client relationships and other business development opportunities.
Qualification & Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of financial accounting experience at preferably a Big4 or a top accounting firm in their India Global Delivery Center
- Chartered Accountant (CA)/ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, IND AS and SEC reporting preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor
- Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings.
