Description

The Global Business Services (GBS) team helps drive BD forward by seeking out and implementing innovative ways to operate effectively and efficiently.

The Director, GBS Training & Enablement will be accountable for driving value to enterprise through the development of a new global enterprise capability that provides strategic and thought partnership and solutions on training development, content creation, roll-out to further enhance training efficiency, effectiveness and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering with stakeholders and business leaders to gather and analyze business strategies, organizational capability requirements, assess training needs and delivery outcomes.
  • Conducting intake with customers, using business goals information, performance indicators, organizational trends, and insights to assess and identify training / capability building needs.
  • Formulating training solutions that may include training prioritization, skills/competencies need assessment, target audience analysis, development of learning and training objectives, curriculum design/learning journey mapping, success profiles, competency model application, training interventions/action plans, and/or application of standardized learning tools.
  • Partnering with Organization Change Management to develop and deliver communications on offerings
  • Design and gain alignment on vision for enterprise capability for training & enablement “as a service” for both build and run state and develop approach to implement including talent strategy, flexible staffing model and service catalog.
  • Independently partner across functions and enterprise teams to identify value creation opportunities in training & enablement space, gain alignment on prioritization. For approved projects, independently develop and implement solutions to further drive enterprise standardization and value creation
  • Provide training expertise, consultation, tools, and action plans to support functional, cross-functional, and/or enterprise-wide implementations, launches, and/or run state requirements impacting GBS service delivery (systems, technology, processes, people, etc.).
  • Apply project management principles and tools to document, articulate and deliver training support including definition/scope, identification of key stakeholders, training deliverables, progress reporting, risks/ roadblocks, and success measures.
  • Establish playbook and framework on design of training strategy, persona-based curriculum, training delivery and effectiveness/measurement tracking including training ROI, metrics (KPIs), and insights. Develop approach for both program/build and run state management
  • Partner with corporate L&D to Establish training communities of practice to maintain alignment in training solutions and customer experience. Gather and share external/internal training benchmark information, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement opportunities to optimize the standards of training practices, interventions, interdependencies, and tools.
  • Interact and interface with vendors, service providers, and other third parties as applicable in relation to the activities and dependencies of the role. Oversee sub-contractors providing training services to GBS
  • Develop integrated approach across training and change management for build and run state
  • Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications And Skills

  • Understanding and practical application of adult learning principles, ADDIE Model, Kirkpatrick evaluation model, learning delivery methods, competency models, curriculum design, and LMS
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs.
  • 5+ years experience in GBS environments developing and implementing training.
  • Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, virtual, matrixed environments
  • Excellent relationship management, listening skills, and demonstrated track record building strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Effective communication skills with employees and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and external partners, as needed
  • Understanding and application of basic project management tools and practices to lead a training project and/or connect training support to a business project plan
  • Inclusive, flexible, and adaptive in working in a global environment, across time zones with remote colleagues and stakeholders

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training, human resources, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience in a GBS organization or related corporate function (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain) providing strategic training in business partnering / consultative roles. This includes experience analyzing business requirements, conducting training needs analysis, formulating training solutions, and measuring training effectiveness.
  • 5+ years leading training workstream in a GBS transformation programs encompassing new systems and operating model changes
  • 3+ years partnering with external vendors on training strategy, design & deployment
