Description

The Projects team supports the operations team in driving change initiatives across silos within Shared Services and Banking Operations (SSBO). Within SSBO, Data Operations team is responsible for client on-boarding, client data management and product reference data. This role is for a Business Analyst within the Project function supporting Product Reference Data Operations

The role is multi-faceted, offering the opportunity to take ownership for, and contribute towards the success of facilitating a project through its entire lifecycle. The individual would work closely with a variety of cross-product business functions and the technology that supports our business processes. Ever-developing market and regulatory environments offer both challenges and opportunities across the Data Operations organization.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires the candidate to work in partnership with the Product Operations Line teams and IT, to deliver on key market and business change initiatives. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Leading detailed analysis with line staff, wider Ops groups and Business Units to formulate and consolidate business requirements
  • Managing the documenting of business processes including business rules and reference data requirements
  • Preparation of test strategies and approaches, documentation of test scripts and test execution
  • Project planning and control
  • Status tracking and reporting
  • Issue and risk management Skills required (essential)

Qualification & Requirements

The successful candidate will perform a variety of functions and must demonstrate:

  • Sound understanding of product reference data and associated market data providers
  • Proven project management experience with evidence of successful delivery against targets
  • Effective business analysis skills coupled with a strong track record developing functional knowledge
  • Knowledge and effective application of the principles and discipline of project management
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and objectives
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery model

Others

  • A good understanding of investment banks and Operations
  • Demonstrated Project / Software Delivery Management skills including issue and risk management, planning and control
  • Demonstrated problem solving and business analysis skills, i.e. the ability to structure an approach to work through and solve complex and ill-defined problems and issues
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile delivery model
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work well under time constraints and with multiple projects
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Project/ MS PowerPoint
