Description

The BizOps team is seeking an Associate Director to lead strategic initiatives and drive impactful business transformations. This role involves close collaboration with global executive teams across Wolters Kluwer.

As a senior team member, the Associate Director will shape strategic projects, provide thought leadership, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver critical insights and measurable results.

Associate Director, GBS – Business Operations & Strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Execution: Lead strategic projects addressing high-priority business challenges, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strategy Development: Inform leadership decisions through market research, competitive analysis, and strategic insights, synthesizing information for executive consumption.
  • Data Analysis: Quickly gather and analyze large datasets, leveraging research and insights to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Problem Solving: Structure and resolve complex, ambiguous operational or business challenges with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Performance Management: Develop and track key business performance metrics.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from initiation to execution, meeting timelines and success criteria.
  • Prioritization: Balance competing demands to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage expectations and communicate progress across stakeholders.
  • Ownership: Lead high-impact initiatives, including business case development, implementation, and change management.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, ideally with a background in consulting or corporate strategy. An advanced degree, such as a Master’s or MBA, is preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, with the ability to simplify complex problems into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas clearly.
  • Flexibility: Growth mindset with the ability to adapt to unstructured environments and tackle new topics.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision, capable of independent work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: Experience managing direct and indirect reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; familiarity with additional analytical tools is a plus.
  • Travel: Less than 20%, only for essential project needs.
