Kforce has a client that is seeking a Shared Services Manager in Chantilly, VA.

Shared Services Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors, contractors, and other payees
  • Review and approve all invoices for appropriate documentation and compliance with company policies
  • Ensure proper coding of expenses in the financial system and maintain accurate records
  • Manage relationships with vendors to resolve discrepancies, ensure accurate billing, and negotiate favorable payment terms
  • Prepare accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and reconciliation of accounts
  • Process credit card and travel reimbursements in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements for payments
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for a large workforce, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly/monthly payroll
  • Ensure all payroll calculations (salaries, overtime, deductions, benefits, taxes, etc.) are in compliance with company policies, tax laws, and labor regulations
  • Review and approve time and attendance records for accuracy
  • Manage payroll system updates, including tax rates, benefits, deductions, and employee information
  • Coordinate with HR and department heads to ensure proper employee data entry (new hires, terminations, benefits enrollment, etc.)
  • Ensure proper payroll reporting, including tax filings (federal, state, and local), benefits administration, and wage garnishments
  • Work closely with external payroll vendors, auditors, and tax authorities to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of accounts payable and payroll staff, providing training and development opportunities
  • Manage workflow, allocate resources effectively, and monitor departmental performance to meet deadlines

Qualification & Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Government contracting experience
  • Some Payroll experience
  • Costpoint
  • Attention to detail
  • Have charm, collaborative characteristics to help work with the team; Being involved and open minded to ideas
