Description

A leading not-for-profit organization providing community and aged care services is seeking an experienced and values-aligned Finance Manager – Shared Services to join their leadership team across financial operations.

This purpose-driven organization is committed to supporting people in need and creating inclusive communities. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee financial operations across multiple sites and service areas, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Finance Manager – Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a team of eight staff members across:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivables
  • Residential client billing and data
  • Banking, petty cash and credit card reconciliations
  • Financial reporting, support, and process improvement

You’ll play a key role in standardizing financial processes, delivering high-quality transactional services, and ensuring site-based staff are trained and supported across financial systems and workflows. This role also supports internal and external compliance, audit processes, and operational reviews.

  • Lead a team of eight within the finance operations team across core transaction functions
  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of financial data processing and reconciliations
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and collaborate with multiple business units
  • Lead financial training and capability building for site managers and staff
  • Drive process excellence, operational consistency, and documentation of procedures
  • Contribute to compliance reviews and support external audits
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experience within the aged care, health care or community care sector highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated experience leading finance teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement abilities
