Description

We are looking for a proven leader to step into the role of Head of the Shared Services Centre (SSC). The ideal candidate will act as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will report directly to the MD and CEO of THL. You will be responsible for driving the delivery of shared services to our member companies across six key verticals: IT, Consumer Goods, Real Estate, Agribusiness, Energy, and Entertainment.

We seek a candidate with entrepreneurial acumen, a strategic mindset, and a history of leading large, diverse teams to achieve excellence in operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the SSC’s strategic plan, ensuring full alignment with the overarching business objectives of the holding company.
  • Provide decisive leadership and direction to the SSC team, guaranteeing the high-quality delivery of shared services, including finance, HR, legal, administration, risk & compliance, internal control, and in-house IT services.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the SSC.
  • Formulate and manage budgets with a focus on cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Deliver coaching, guidance, and developmental opportunities to department heads and their teams.
  • Maintain seamless communication and alignment between the SSC and member companies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Forge and maintain strategic relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to the CEO/MD on SSC performance, offering insights and strategic recommendations for growth and improvement.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as MBA, CPA, ICAN, CIMA, or SHRM-SCP are highly sought after.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in a senior leadership position, ideally within a shared services or corporate services environment.
  • A proven track record of leading large, diverse teams and achieving operational excellence.
  • Extensive experience in change management, process improvement, and strategic planning.
  • A strong grasp of finance, HR, legal, and IT functions.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including executive leadership, employees, and external partners.
  • Entrepreneurial experience, such as managing a business or significant business unit, is a distinct advantage.
