Senior Director, Transitions Excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the national transition team, ensuring optimal execution of all transition activities.
• Operate as a process architect, developing and implementing standardized processes and systems to facilitate effective startup operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and readiness of account teams prior to project and new job startup initiation.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary training and development programs.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity through best practices, measures, development initiatives and coaching.
• Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring an elevated level of customer satisfaction throughout the transition process.
• Analyze and report on transition metrics to track progress and inform strategic decisions.

Qualification & Requirements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field
• At least 10+ years of experience leading highly visible projects and/or operations, with at least 5+ years of leading teams.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial / facilities services
• Proven experience in transition, transformation or startup management or a similar role, preferably in a startup environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members and leaders, with and without authority.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Travel up to 50%

Strongly preferred qualifications:

• MBA / graduate degree in business, operations, or engineering
• Experience leading large scale projects and/or startups in both new construction phase, greenfield manufacturing sites and long-established sites
• Advanced leadership skills, especially leadership of newly formed teams, with experience leading leaders within this context.
• Organizational influence: ability to navigate complex matrix organizations, influence without formal authority and curry support as needed throughout the organization
• Process and standardization advanced certifications and training (lean, kaizen, etc.)
