Description

We are seeking an experienced Shared Services Manager to lead our accounts payable and receivable operations for a multi-entity organization. This role oversees a team of six direct reports and is responsible for optimizing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency across multiple business units. The ideal candidate has a strong background in AP/AR, extensive leadership experience, and expertise in NetSuite, QuickBooks, AvidXchange, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of six AP/AR professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Streamline and standardize AP/AR processes across multiple entities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial transactions.
  • Technology & Systems: Utilize NetSuite, QuickBooks, AvidXchange, and Excel to manage financial workflows, automate processes, and analyze data for decision-making.
  • Accounts Payable: Oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, expense management, and reconciliation while maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Accounts Receivable: Manage customer invoicing, collections, cash applications, and aging reports to ensure timely payments and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Compliance & Controls: Maintain strong internal controls, ensuring adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare AP/AR reports, monitor KPIs, and provide insights to senior leadership on cash flow, outstanding receivables, and vendor obligations.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership to support financial strategies and business objectives.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or shared services within a multi-entity organization.
  • Systems Expertise: Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, AvidXchange, and Excel (including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Problem-Solving & Process Improvement: Proven ability to identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and leverage technology to optimize financial operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a shared services / multi-entity environment.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance.
