We’re seeking someone to join our team as Vice President, This role is for a senior engineer/ architect who will help build a firmwide AI Development Platform and drive adoption of AI capabilities throughout the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have strong hand-son experience in designing architecture of contemporary cloud-native products/platforms. The candidate will also have a working knowledge of AI and the advancements in generative AI to design and collaborate effectively while building an AI development platform.. The candidate will have a strong passion for using AI to increase productivity as well as help generate new ideas for product improvements.

This role requires a strong combination of both development and infrastructure knowledge and experience. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate technical leadership with a track record of developing and driving innovative solutions.

Generative AI Engineer/Architect – Vice President – Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

This is a hands-on technical Environment Manager (VP lead) position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs

  •  Design scalable, robust, secure and flexible architecture of components of the AI development platform.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical specifications and architecture documentation.
  • Ensure the architecture is aligned with respect to principles, patterns, cyber security recommendations and is reviewed with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure smooth integration of 3rd party vendor products/platforms into the AI platform components.
  • Contribute to build vs. buy studies by understanding and explaining vendor product or open-source architectures for specific subdomains of the AI platform.
  • Design automated testing approaches to ensure robust, scalable, observable, reliable and secure platform components.
  • Develop tooling and self-service capabilities for deploying AI solutions. Collaborate with developers to enhance the developer experience when building and deploying AI applications
  • Understanding of ML Ops and LLM Ops challenges and tools available in this space to implement ML Ops (both 3rd party Vendor as well as Open Source)
  • Mentor software engineers for best practices and on new technologies.

Qualification & Requirements

Requires Skills

  • Strong understanding and experience designing and building software following cloud-native architecture with microservices, Kubernetes, docker, kafka, etc.
  • Expert understanding and hands-on experience in at least 1 public cloud platform (such as Azure/AWS/GCP), preferably with an architect-level certification.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI development, embeddings, Generative AI models
  • Familiarity with deep learning and Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Strong hands on Application Development background in atleast one prominent programming language, preferably Python
  • Broad understanding of data engineering (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data), data governance, data privacy and security
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps, git, CI/ CD pipelines and testing frameworks .
  • Understanding of ModelOps/ ML Ops/ LLM Ops
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global organization and across time zones
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Responsible AI, AI Ethics
  • Understanding of Domain-driven design strategic and tactical patterns.
  • Understanding of Information Security, Secure coding practices
  • Experience working with cloud providers, preferably Azure, but also AWS, GCP
  • Experience working in a large regulated industry such as Financial Services, Insurance etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent job experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • 5+ years of experience architecting distributed systems
  • 2+ years of experience building AI applications, preferably Generative AI and LLM based apps
