Group Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

• To lead the central finance team (shared services) to deliver accurate, timely and efficient payroll, transactional and financial reporting services to the group.
• This role is accountable for the financial control environment of the Group, including advising on risk areas and mitigating actions.
• To mentor, coach and advise the shared services finance team in the implementation of the above responsibilities.

Key Deliverables Summary

• People Leadership – Align and motivate the finance team, foster a service-first mentality, and promote continuous improvement while upholding company culture and inclusivity.
• Management Reporting – Support financial reporting, ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations, and manage financial risks and opportunities.
• Transaction Management – Oversee payroll, supplier payments, and transactional finance processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Group Forecasting – Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, manage cashflow planning, and provide financial insights to optimize working capital.
• Year-End, Statutory Reporting & Tax Strategy – Ensure accurate financial statements, manage audits, implement tax strategies, and collaborate with auditors and tax advisors.
• Stakeholder Management – Maintain strong relationships with internal teams (CEO, procurement, legal, etc.) and external partners (banks, auditors, tax advisors, system providers).
• Risk Management & Controls – Assess and mitigate financial risks, enforce internal controls, and improve financial policies.
• General Responsibilities – Act as a brand ambassador, uphold company values, and undertake additional duties as needed.

Qualification & Requirements

We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA) with considerable controllership experience and ideally group exposure
