Description

The Head of Global Learning Centre will grow and transform our global learning center. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for shaping the future of learning at Hydro, ensuring our workforce is future ready. The role requires strong business acumen, leadership ability, and expertise in Learning & Development to drive service innovation, stakeholder engagement, and global structural change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global strategy for the Learning Center, ensuring alignment with business needs and future workforce readiness.
  • Drive growth and innovation by expanding learning solutions, integrating digital tools, and continuously improving service delivery.
  • Lead and develop strategic marketing and awareness initiatives to increase usage and visibility of the Learning Center’s services.
  • Oversee all Learning Center activities, ensuring high-quality, standardized service delivery.
  • Design and implement structural improvements to optimize efficiency and impact.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and continuously enhance offerings to support Hydro’s digital transformation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, HR leaders, and business managers to understand and address evolving learning needs in line with organizational needs.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, People Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Learning & Development, including strategy development, training design, and digital learning.
  • Experience leading an HR shared services function or a global learning organization (preferred).
  • Proven track record in driving change, leading complex projects, and managing structural transformations in a global setting.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to position learning as a key driver of organizational success.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in service promotion, stakeholder engagement, and business growth initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, navigating a complex, multinational environment.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
