As a key member of the LCCI Site governance and transformation team the Associate Director, Governance & culture role will lead the site governance framework evolution and execution in supporting the effective governance of the leadership bodies and Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s) within LCCI and partner with Ethics & Compliance (E&C) and the other central teams on supporting the effective measurement and mitigation on key site risk areas. The role will also build strong networks with key business partners to ensure alignment with functional strategic objectives in governance and culture area.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership Governance
- Lead the evolution and execution of the leadership governance frameworks across the site.
- Partner with the Snr director – Site Governance and Business Transformation and the General Manager and Executive Lead team to evolve the leadership governance framework to maximize its effectiveness and impact in support of site objectives
- Responsible and accountable for aspects such as timely scheduling the meetings, defining strategic and operational agenda, creating meeting minutes, maintain action log and complete periodic reviews of meeting effectiveness.
- Lead the best practices of effectively running the governance meetings. E.g, Pre-reads should be submitted to the Governance Committee at a time prior to the meeting stipulated in the Charter. Minutes should be circulated to relevant parties (as agreed with the Chair and documented in the minutes) and include details on all decisions made, and all action items with assigned owner.
- Meetings should balance appropriate strategic direction setting and operational execution to maximize impact and action items should be followed up and closed out.
- Drive strong partnership and engage with leaders in the governance bodies to focus on site core purpose and value and develop and evolve a site scorecard identifying metrics for success at an aggregated functional and site wide level, while revisiting regularly and evaluating progress.
Culture Champion and integrity
- Lead the ERG governance ensuring that our employee resource groups collaborate to maximise employee engagement, inclusiveness and a sense of belonging
- Champion an accountability, empowerment and integrity mind-set across the site leadership governance forums and ERGs
- Lead the coordination of our Business Continuity Planning process, partnering with function and central teams to ensure appropriate BCPS exist and are tested regularly ensuring the continuation of our critical processes when BCP events are encountered
- Promote a strong DEI working environment where diversity of thought is seen a key enabler of our site success and work across ERGs, L&D and leadership to ensure a coherent and consistent focus on DE&I
- Partner with E&C and other central teams to be able to measure and articulate our integrity and compliance story and partner with those functions to evaluate on a regular basis our policies and processes and ensure appropriate levels of awareness across the site
- Partner with E&C on the execution of appropriate integrity certifications, ensuring clear understanding of our compliance environment across the leadership teams
Innovation
- Partner with the leadership team to support an environment of continuous improvement within LCCI by identifying and championing ideas for value and capacity creation
- Partner closely with the central teams and ERGs within LCCI to drive business plan initiatives, focus on operational efficiency and successfully partner with new business functions.
- Use industry knowledge and external benchmarking to stay current with respect governance and culture frameworks in a rapidly changing ecosystem
- Identify technology opportunities to support and accelerate our governance and culture strategy and standardize/automate processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Drive the integration of our people, culture, compliance and productivity strategy within each function represented at the site.
Qualification & Requirements
Position Preferred Requirements
- Post graduate degree (MBA/MSc/MPharm) or adequate professional experience to meet above deliverables.
- 10+ years of experience in Finance or other governance related function. At least 3+ years of leadership experience with proven success in running governance for an affiliate or capability centre including scorecard measurement systems
- Strong awareness and understanding of importance of governance, compliance and culture withing the business environment in achieving shared successes
- Ability to partner and influence across matrixed organization and collaborate with peers locally and globally.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with all audiences and forums through strong oral and written communication.
- Proactively identifies issues offering creative solutions and strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in converting strategies into actionable steps, building governance and measurement systems that ensure execution with excellence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and effectiveness in the areas of influence, team leadership, articulating a position, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
