Description
The IT Operations Management 6 – GMN Integration Lead department in the Shared Service Operation–Central Operations division is responsible for coordinating and fulfilling deliveries and services in the area of the Bundeswehr’s military IT contracts with the BWI, which require a high level of security.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical management of installations on deployable data centers for operational IT, taking into account the specifications and guidelines for GMN
- Administration and processing of system maintenance services GMN as well as analysis of faults including participation in their elimination
- Preparation of documents and reports as well as responsibility for management-oriented communication and reporting
- Participation in support services in GMN projects and installation projects
- Continuous testing and, if necessary, adaptation and application of new procedures, methods and instruments
Qualification & Requirements
- Completed training or studies in the IT environment
- Approximately 7 years of professional experience in the IT sector as well as technical management and project experience, ideally in the customer environment of the German Armed Forces
- Extensive, broad administrative experience and knowledge of operating systems and distributed applications
- Very good knowledge of common IT technologies and infrastructures as well as a good understanding of complex technical contexts
- Initiative, willingness to change, decision-making and assertiveness skills as well as innovative thinking
- Fluent German and confident English skills, both written and spoken, and willingness to travel
