Description
As Financial Director, you have a broad and strategic role in which you switch between financial policy on the one hand and financial control, business control and corporate accountability on the other. You monitor the financial health of the organization, contribute to policy development and ensure that decision-making is based on sharp analyses and clear reporting. In addition, you play an active role in projects that require financial and organizational expertise, and you work closely with the board of directors, the director/manager and external relations such as the accountant. You appreciate the importance of the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board and the need for adequate reporting within it, especially as a controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy development : Providing input into decisions on policy and strategy and thinking along with and supporting SBI and its limited companies in optimising their results.
- Risk Management: Identifying and addressing financial risks to ensure business stability (including contract management) .
- Financial planning and analysis: Drawing up (or having drawn up) financial plans and budgets, as well as analyzing financial results to ensure that the SBI and its limited companies achieve their financial objectives.
- Supervision of financial reporting : Preparing and presenting financial reports to the management of SBI and private limited companies.
- Cash flow management: Managing the cash flows within the organization and ensuring the financial health of the company.
- Managing Finance & Control, including compliance: Managing colleagues in the finance department and ensuring efficient operation of the finance department.
Qualification & Requirements
- You have a university education with an RA or RC diploma.
- Your education is not an end point, because you have the ambition to continue growing.
- You take integrity for granted, especially when you have to stand your ground when internal or external pressure is exerted on you.
- You have experience with administrative decision-making and strategic advice.
- You combine analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic and conceptual way of thinking.
- Your knowledge and experience with financial applications and automation are the basis for reliable information (knowledge of AFAS Profit is a plus).
- You work systematically and accurately, with a strong focus on quality.
- You work results-oriented and are able to identify efficiency opportunities and convert them into concrete improvements.
- You have a proactive and hands-on mentality: you think and do.
- Leadership experience and good communication skills characterize you.
