Description
The primary objective of this position is to oversee the execution of all accounting and reporting tasks within its scope, while also engaging with key stakeholders throughout the organization. The Senior Manager plays a crucial role, serving as trusted partner and leading major improvement initiatives, supporting strategic projects, and offering essential assistance to Business Units regarding actuals reporting (IFRS and local GAAP). Additionally, the Senior Manager provides valuable business insights internally.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting Tasks:
- Ensure all accounting and reporting activities within the scope are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
Group Reporting Coordination:
- Plan and oversee key milestones in the group reporting process with internal teams;
- Collaborate closely with primary stakeholders in the organization (including Consolidation, External Reporting, Treasury team, and local markets).
Statutory and Tax Oversight:
- Ensure proper planning and monitoring of key milestones in statutory and tax processes (including audits);
- Work with key organizational stakeholders and external providers;
- Assist in managing risks and escalations effectively.
Actuals Reporting Collaboration:
- Work with Business Unit stakeholders to ensure accurate actuals reporting;
- Understand the business context behind the numbers;
- Enhance business understanding.
RtR Improvement Leadership:
- Lead significant RtR improvement initiatives in collaboration with RtR Global Process Owner;
- Identify areas for improvement proactively to maximize process efficiency and effectiveness.
Strategic Project Support:
- Actively support strategic projects;
- Serve as a subject matter expert in RtR processes;
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations as needed.
Team Leadership:
- Take full responsibility for the operational management and development of a large team.
Continuous Improvement Analysis:
- Analyze KPIs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Complex Query Resolution:
- Address and resolve complex queries and escalations.
Qualification & Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience and in a similar role;
- Previous experience in preparation of financial statements, tax compliance, people and stakeholder management;
- Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting;
- Additional accounting certification is a plus;
- Experience in working with IFRS and local standards is a plus;
- SAP and Excel Skills;
- Languages: English (fluent), other is an advantage;
