Description
As a member of the management team, you will help shape the overall strategy of the organization. New strategic developments in an ever-changing environment must be understood and interpreted.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the CEO and Van Eyck family in translating the strategy into concrete plans to achieve the expected goals
- Is a solid business partner in the management team
- Supporting expansion into new markets and managing international operations
- Managing operational risks and advising on risk management strategies
- Identifying bottlenecks in processes and systems and implementing improvements
- Implementing concrete initiatives that improve operational efficiency and support growth goals based on the established frameworks
- Defining and monitoring operational policies and procedures, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance measures.
- Monitor and optimize workflows, systems and processes to increase performance, quality and productivity. The COO is also responsible for the implementation of ERP in Flanders and Wallonia as it mainly focuses on operational efficiency and automation (paperless, AI, new systems, …).
- Ensuring continuous process optimization through innovation and technology
- Monitor internal control measures to ensure consistency and quality
- Managing the branch managers, monitoring and adjusting the results
- Responsible for the management and efficient allocation of resources (people, budgets, technology, etc.) within all the different departments of the Geel branch, with the branch manager P&L being responsible for after-sales service, rental and construction flow.
- Developing and organizing efficient and effective warehouse management
- Promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration
Qualification & Requirements
- Master’s degree in business management or economics
- Demonstrable and solid experience in operational management and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position in an organization with shared services
- An integral and holistic way of thinking, with attention to both operational details and long-term objectives
- Successful experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and achieving transversal operational excellence
- Experience with transformation processes such as process improvement, automation and international expansion
- Results-oriented combined with excellent leadership skills, with a focus on setting and achieving clear goals, inspiring and guiding teams, encouraging coaching, and promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions combined with a hands-on entrepreneurial mindset
- Knowledge of economic and financial aspects, with the ability to analyze financial reports and budgets and, where necessary, formulate optimization proposals that contribute to the organization’s strategy
- Solid communication skills and experience in stakeholder management at all levels, both internally and externally
- In-depth knowledge of relevant software systems to fulfill his tasks such as ERP. Dicar has recently started working with Odoo as an ERP system.
- Fluent in Dutch and professional knowledge of French and English
