Description

We are looking for an Interim Head of Financial Shared Services to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Wroclaw office, however you will be managing a team operating for EU markets including Polish.

The Head of Finance Shared Services will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and continuous improvement of finance shared services across multiple geographic locations. This role will manage the centralization of key financial processes and the integration following a large acquisition, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial shared services team, managing functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, across multiple locations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to standardize and streamline financial processes across regions, driving cost efficiency and enhancing service delivery.
  • Oversee the use of financial systems and technology (e.g., ERP systems) to automate processes, improve data quality, and reduce manual workloads.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to regularly assess performance and ensure business needs are met.
  • Lead the integration of finance-shared services from two organizations ensuring seamless alignment of financial operations, systems, and processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage the finance-related aspects of M&A integrations, including the consolidation of financial reporting, systems migration, and the alignment of policies and controls.
  • Lead the change management efforts associated with process improvements, system upgrades, and organizational transformations within the finance shared services function.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in finance shared services or financial operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting principles, and compliance regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Skilled in strategic and creative thinking, can effectively identify practical solutions to complex challenges. With a hands-on approach, can execute initiatives that enhance the efficiency and scalability of finance shared services
  • Excels in unstructured and fast-changing environments, adapting quickly to trends and making informed decisions that align with organizational goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with ERP systems and finance technologies (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday).
