Description

The Director of Accounting Operations / Shared Services will report to the Sr. Director of Accounting Operations / Shared Services will over see Accounts Payable, Travel & Entertainment related activities/audits and Data Quality and will have manager(s) as well independent contributors reporting to this role.

DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS / SHARED SERVICES

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing existing workflows for responsible area to ensure that responsibilities are clearly defined, documented and measurable
  • Ensure the operation of monitoring controls over staff work product
  • Monitoring metrics and team performance to ensure that resources are deployed effectively and crossed trained properly
  • Working with the global accounting organization to ensure that inputs into the general ledger are complete/timely/accurate
  • Proactively drive process improvement/efficiency
  • Coordinating communication with leaders from the Sales, Human Resources and Legal Organizations

Qualification & Requirements

Basic Qualifications/Skills

  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Experience leading diverse team with wide range of skillsets
  • Oracle or related ERP experience
  • Process design/improvement experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Unquestionable ethics
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to proactively anticipate and resolve potential issues
  • Flexible, organized, and able to handle competing priorities
  • A self-starter who works effectively in a complex, changing environment and can adapt to change while focusing on key goals and objectives

Preferred Qualification/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Lean/Six Sigma trained/certified
  • Experience with system integration
  • Experience with entity consolidation
  • Ability to identify and drive automation projects
