Description

The Financial Reporting Manager would be part of Company’s internal shared service function known as Business Process- Centre of Excellence (BP-CoE). This position would be responsible to responsible to lead, manage and administer three overarching areas consist of Accounts Payable, Vendor Payments and Fixed Assets Accounting. This role is a critical role that needs a self-driven, high pressure handling person. The nature of the job requires utmost confidentiality, secrecy, and trust worthiness as well as focus on enhancing experience. The responsibilities are technical (role expert), managerial, supervisory and will include people, process, technology, service, and customer related dimensions regarding processes in job role. This position needs to ensure all processes are smoothly run and guide team to follow due processes and procedures and implement process improvements. This Position will support the BPCoE Head in driving the vision and take part in enabling the overall goals of BPCoE operations and the Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, follow up and implement plans with the Head BPCoE to build systems that shall ensure the service levels to customers are met.
  • Mentor, coach and guide the Process Leaders to ensure smooth throughput of work and be a go-to person for resolution of conflicts, issues, smoothing procedures and support leadership through business partnering by providing metrics, problem resolution, and reporting process performance.
  • Follow and be a role model to ensure that appropriate cultural traits are encouraged in the system.
  • Plan for and coordinate with other Process Managers and implement the fungibility of resources to ensure optimum utilization of resources and has a broad idea of use of technology and knows whom to reach out to and delegate to get work done.
  • Provide recommendations to Head- BPCoE for ensuring efficiencies and effectiveness.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Applicants should have completed Chartered Accountant/ICWA with experience of atleast 12-15 years in a manufacturing company preferably shared services, leading a team of 10-15 team members.
  • Proven People management skills and knows how and when to delegate.
  • Good Understanding of KPIs, SLAs, Process Standardization Tools etc. to enable performance measurement and automation.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable functions including vendor set-up, invoicing, employee expense reimbursements, payments, statutory deductions and compliance of TDS, GST, payment to MSME vendors compliance etc. and handling audit requirement effectively with relevant reports and disclosure notes required in preparation of financial statement.
  • Possess sound knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting, its treatment and various report/disclosure required in preparation of financial statements.
  • Cross Functional Coordination and Contribution
  • Regular and Proactive communication with key Business stakeholders to enhance processes, execute on automation projects and ensure the effectiveness of information flow, SLAs are being met and building a good working Relationship.
  • Must possess strong communication skills with ability to participate in calls and resolve queries and manage escalations at various levels.
  • Deliverable Oriented communication with various Audit Teams (External/Internal).
  • To form trusting relationships with Plant Controllers and other senior accounting personnel of Businesses
  • Sharing of Best Practices across functions to achieve Organisation Objectives
