This role involves managing HR processes, ensuring compliance with local and international labor laws, and supporting the implementation of HR strategies to enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. The role also includes managing HR Information Systems (HRIS), Human Resources Shared Services Center (HR SSC) operations, Compensation & Benefits (C&B) operations, budgeting, and headcount planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR operations, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of HR best practices within the retail sector, particularly in the food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, HRIS management, and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Policy Implementation: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR legal requirements.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires and the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze HR metrics, preparing detailed reports on HR activities, performance, and strategic recommendations for the APAC Human Resources Director.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the development and management of performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • HR Projects: Lead and support HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR operations and organizational effectiveness.
  • HRIS Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.
  • HR SSC Management: Manage the Human Resources Shared Services Center (HR SSC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services to all employees.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of HR-related services and supplies.
  • Compensation & Benefits Operations: Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and fair practices.
  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with business goals.
  • Headcount Planning: Collaborate with senior management to plan and manage headcount, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business needs.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise the HR operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Extensive experience in HR operations management, particularly within the retail or food and beverage sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in managing HR Shared Services Centers (HR SSC).
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Experience in compensation & benefits operations, budgeting, and headcount planning.

  • Fluent communication skills in both Chinese and English.
