Description

As the Engineering Manager for the Design Systems team, you’ll lead the charge in crafting the core frameworks and reusable components that ensure a seamless, consistent, and scalable user experience across all products. You’ll balance technical leadership with team development, partnering with design and engineering teams to deliver tools that accelerate innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver High-Quality Code: Ensure your team writes robust, scalable, and secure code using technologies like C#, .NET, NodeJS & React.js.
  • Drive Service Reliability: Manage your team’s services to meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), adhering to best practices in Service Reliability.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product Management and UX Designers to define product features, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Enhance Test Coverage: Monitor new code and designs to identify and adjust test coverage requirements, integrating these into pipelines seamlessly.
  • Make Durable Decisions: Gather and assess all relevant input to make high-quality, long-lasting technical and strategic decisions.
  • Champion Quality: Lead by example to prioritize quality in all stages of development, ensuring products meet the highest standards.
  • Prioritize Security: Oversee the creation of secure code, lead threat modelling, and ensure your team follows security best practices

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experienced Leader: 6+ years as a software engineer, including 3+ years in leadership roles, driving high-performing teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in .NET, C#, NodeJS, and Azure, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Agile Practitioner: Skilled in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and managing the full software development lifecycle.
  • Problem-Solver: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Effective Communicator: Exceptional leadership and communication skills to align teams and drive results.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Adept at working cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions
