Platform Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security
• Conduct thorough reviews of application code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the development process
• Guide and coach developers in diagnosing and fixing bugs efficiently
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases to optimize performance and solve database-related issues
• Address performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure, implementing solutions to enhance overall performance
• Work on tuning applications to scale from 100 users to 1000 users and beyond, ensuring robust performance
• Utilize tools like Dynatrace and Splunk for performance monitoring and analysis
• Manage and scale enterprise shared services to a global level using AWS infrastructure
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Qualification & Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in a technical role, with a focus on Java applications and infrastructure
• Extensive experience with Java applications and codebase, particularly for performance tuning
• Proficient in database management and optimization techniques for MS SQL and MySQL
• Strong understanding of infrastructure management and performance tuning
• Experience with scaling applications from 100 to 1000 users
• Familiarity with tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
