Description
Assist the Head of Operational Excellence in:
(1) Finance Operational improvements – identify gaps, drive collaboration between Finance Unit and Business Units and support improvement implementations.
(2) Performance Data Analytics – manage process and data framework improvements to support financial performance analytics
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operational Improvements
- Collaborate closely with process owners to ensure processes are defined with clear guidance, KPIs and controls.
- End to End Business process mapping to ensure all business activities are operationally supported and accounted for in Financial Statements.
- Drive finance operational improvement programs to drive efficiency through process standardization, digitization and identification of appropriate functions to be automated or centralized.
- Ensure operational and financial risks are managed and mitigated in process improvement programs.
- Track Operational performance and change management impact.
- Coordinate and manage collaboration between Finance and Business Units to ensure business objectives are met.
- Facilitate SOP review and updates to ensure clear process flows, deliverables and accountability.
- Any other responsibilities/ task as assigned from time to time.
- Ensure execution of risk & compliance frameworks
- Oversee remediation of control gaps, audit findings, etc
Performance Management & Insights
- Collaborate with Finance HODs to develop and monitor performance metrics
- Develop framework to monitor and remediate performance and related risk metrics (KPI, KRI, etc)
- Close collaboration with HODs and BI team to perform data analytics, build dashboards to unlock value added insights to aid decision making
- Track open issues, CIM, LED
- Provide ad-hoc support in other Finance initiatives as required
Qualification & Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Professional Qualification – ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 8-10 years related experience on finance operational improvements and performance management
- Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Mature, self-motivated, results-oriented
- Able to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive in learning and understanding the business
- Able to work with all levels of stakeholders
- Strong excel skills, and experience in automation tools will be a plus
