Description
This position will have a huge role in the company’s finance transformation project including utilizing an overseas shared service group.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all month end deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Work cross-functionally with Division CFO’s and operating companies’ management, as well as corporate finance and accounting to ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close along with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information for this business segment
- Review and analyze quarterly and yearly financial and management reporting for the division
- Technical accounting- assist with one off accounting and reporting questions.
- Ad-hoc accounting and operational initiatives/projects
- Establish and maintain internal controls
- Support the Financial Reporting team with preparation of various footnote disclosures to the quarterly financial statements
- Add value by identifying opportunities, recommending, and implementing process improvements
- Liaison with external auditors and coordinate annual financial statement audit
- Ensure financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and off shoring
Qualification & Requirements
- 11+ years of accounting experience.
- 3+ years of management/supervisory experience
- Experience working at a publicly traded company
- Experience with finance transformation/working with an outsourced shared service group
- CPA preferred.
- Big 4 or 2nd tier public accounting experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; able to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross functional collaboration
