We are seeking a highly qualified and proactive Vice President, Controller to spearhead our financial operations and oversee corporate accounting and reporting functions. This pivotal leadership position is vital to managing various financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and government compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide comprehensive updates to senior leadership, analyzing and communicating financial performance.
  • Guarantee the timely and precise preparation of consolidated financial statements, in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in accounting operations to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries and affiliated entities to ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee shared services functions, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, billing, and travel expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with government accounting regulations and manage relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise internal controls and ensure adherence to DFARS and other accounting standards.
  • Lead external audit initiatives and cultivate relationships with audit firms.
  • Stay informed on changes in accounting standards and government contracting to maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Support finance transformation strategies and major system implementations.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to assess and integrate new business strategies and regulatory developments.
  • Partner with stakeholders, including external advisors and the Board of Directors, to align with organizational objectives.
  • Promote a culture of ethics, integrity, and innovation within the finance team.
  • Lead teams with respect, fostering collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders through structured growth and development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with all organizational levels, driving strategic change and maintaining alignment.

Qualification & Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in GAAP standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 15 years of comprehensive accounting experience, including exposure to public accounting and financial systems within large or global organizations.
  • Active CPA license or MBA is required.
