Description
This role comes under “CoreOps Service Private Limited”, Air Arabia’s newly launched Global Capability Center in Pune, India.
Manages a team of accounting professionals, guiding them to deliver accurate and timely financial services while meeting client SLAs and organizational objectives. Responsible for setting team goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. This role ensures the team is well-resourced, equipped with the necessary tools and skills, and positioned to deliver high-quality results. Additionally, the Manager implements controls and drives process improvements, contributing to operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, setting clear performance goals and providing regular feedback. Cultivate a culture of growth, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback, coaching, and development plans to support team members in reaching their professional potential.
- Ensure the team is adequately resourced and equipped with the necessary tools, skills, and support to meet client and organizational standards. Identify and address training needs, facilitating skills development to enhance team performance.
- Establish and maintain strong control frameworks and review processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial deliverables.
- Oversee the preparation of audit schedules, ensure the team provides required documentation to auditors, and coordinate audit responses to maintain transparency and compliance.
- Analyze current processes, identify opportunities for efficiency, and lead initiatives to drive process improvements and transformation, ensuring alignment with organizational best practices.
- Monitor and manage adherence to SLAs, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet quality and timeline expectations.
- Oversee the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of financial statements and reports. Ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved, and reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Represent the team in cross-functional forums, maintaining open communication with stakeholders and addressing any issues or escalations. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment on objectives and performance updates.
- Utilize knowledge of working capital management to optimize receivables, payables, and cash flow, supporting the financial health of the business.
Qualification & Requirements
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Advanced Excel is a must) and any accounting software
Work Experience
- 12+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a shared services environment.
- Strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliation, and working capital management.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and delegation skills, with a proven ability to develop and motivate a high-performing team.
- Experience establishing and enhancing control frameworks, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and manage SLAs and take proactive corrective actions when necessary.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, with a track record of effective communication in high-paced environments.
- Familiarity with international accounting standards and shared services specific client requirements.
