Description
The Group Head of Finance will lead the financial strategy for the company across its multinational operations, focusing on strong financial governance, driving the adoption of finance practices across the group, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires deep expertise in financial governance, process standardization, and transformation, particularly in a high-growth, multinational environment. The ideal candidate will have experience building finance functions and shared services from scratch and driving group-wide financial consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Governance & Compliance:
- Establish and enforce a robust financial governance framework across the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements in Singapore, Malaysia, and Philippines & Hong Kong.
- Lead group-wide audits and mitigate financial risks through strong oversight of internal and external financial reporting processes
Driving Group-wide Finance Practice Adoption:
- Standardize financial practices across all subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with the group’s strategic objectives.
- Drive the implementation of new financial processes, technologies, and systems across the group, fostering collaboration and consistency.
Multinational Shared Services Setup:
- Lead the establishment of a centralized shared services model, streamlining financial operations across regions.
- Implement process automation and resource optimization to ensure efficiency and scalability within the shared services framework.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy, aligning with long-term business growth objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing insights and recommendations to top management & board of directors.
Financial Operations Excellence:
- Oversee group-wide cash flow, working capital, and cost management to ensure financial stability and profitability.
- Standardize AP and AR processes across regions, ensuring healthy cash flow and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Governance & Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of financial governance, regulatory compliance, and internal controls in a multinational environment.
- Change Leadership: Proven ability to lead and implement large-scale changes not only within the finance function but across a group of companies.
- Shared Services Experience: Hands-on experience in setting up multinational shared services, with a strong focus on regional standardization and scalability.
- Strategic Vision: Capable of aligning financial strategies with overall business goals, balancing short-term operational needs with long-term growth.
- Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with Finance & Accounting systems, financial management software, and automation tools to drive efficiency across multiple regions.

Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, CFA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
- Minimum 10-15 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a multinational shared services environment.
- Proven track record of driving financial governance, compliance, and operational improvements in a regional or multinational context.
- Experience in leading financial transformations, including change management and process standardization across multiple subsidiaries.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines & Hong Kong.
