Description

The position is responsible for the following aspects within the Investment Data Governance and Planning.

Manager – Finance & Procurement

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing periodic verification on the Data Quality numbers that is generated by the Data360 application.
  • Manage the currency of the department SOP/Policies/Standard in meeting the requirement of the Group and to ensure the content of the SOP/Policies/Standard in line with the purpose and objective of Investment Data Governance and Planning.
  • To create and/or update relevant training materials which would be used to conduct briefing to relevant stakeholders.
  • To work closely with relevant stakeholders in MYOSS, Group and AIAIM to ensure budgeting process in MYOSS are in alignment among MYOSS, Group and AIAIM.
  • To work closely with relevant stakeholders in MYOSS and Business Units to ensure inter-company activities are incorporated into the Statement of Work and ensuring proper governance processes are followed
  • To assist Head of Group Investment and Planning in administering effective governance process for procurement by Investment functions in AIA Shared Services.
  • Contribution to the ongoing development of the department by participating in department discussion and willing to share knowledge and experience within the department.
  • Understand the business rules of the Critical Data Elements implemented in the Data360 Data Quality Monitoring dashboard.
  • Perform computation of the Data Quality numbers using authorized tools that are feasibly available to ascertain the accuracy of the Data Quality numbers generated by the Data360 application.
  • Work with Data Assurance and Data Analysis team within Investment Data Governance and Planning to correct any discrepancies noted between “performed computation” and the numbers generated by Data360 application.
  • Update existing department SOP/Policies/Standard, and if required create new SOP/Policies/Standard, based on the input from the teams within Investment Data Governance and Planning.
  • Work with the Head of the Department to create and/or update any training materials which would be used to conduct briefing to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that budgeting process is adhered by the Investment teams within the timeline and in the required format and structure.
  • Inter-company activities between AIA entities are appropriately incorporated into the Statement of Work, including updating the Statement of Work as and when required.
  • Ensure that appropriate governance process is followed before Statement of Work(s) is/are being signed-off.
  • Highlight any potential discrepancies between what was budgeted by the Investment team and the inter-company activities stated in the Statement of Work.
  • Be the point-of-contact in addressing budget-related and statement of work queries between the individual Investment functions and relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist Head of Group Investment Data Governance and Planning in ensuring proper governance process has been adhered on procurement initiated by the Investment functions in AIA Shared Services.
  • Work together with Head of Group Investment Data Governance and Planning in improving any processes within the Investment team.
  • Assist the Head of Group Investment Data Governance and Planning with projects and initiatives from time to time as required.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 5-7 years of related experience from insurance and/or asset management, in budgeting, process improvement, preparation of Statement of Work and basic understanding of procurement processes.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL system command luggage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English. Be able to converse in Chinese will be an added advantage.
  • Creative and open to sharing and implementing new ideas
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
  • Independent and strong self-initiative.
