Our Branch
Support Services within the Organizational Services division provides Council’s key shared services under a centralized model. Our efficient back-of-house support ensures more resources can be focused on Council’s front-line service delivery.
Payment and Supply Services (PaSS) section is part of Support Services, who are responsible for providing procurement related services, managing storage and movement of inventory and payment of suppliers on behalf of Council.
Key Responsibilities
In the role of Warehouse and Logistics Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of making a tangible impact on Council’s operations. You will be responsible for leading and managing our crucial warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow from the warehouse all the way to the end customer.
As a strategic leader, you will have the opportunity to provide valuable direction and support to your team. By collaborating closely with the Manager, Payment and Supply Services (PaSS), you will play a vital role in driving optimization and efficiencies throughout the entire business. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in streamlining processes, reducing costs, enhancing overall performance whilst having Workplace Health and Safety as your number one priority.
However, the value of your role goes beyond just operational efficiency. You will have the chance to showcase your exceptional interpersonal skills and build strong relationships. By fostering effective communication and collaboration, you will ensure that the end-to-end supply chain functions seamlessly. Qualification & Requirements
- Possess extensive knowledge and proven expertise in overseeing warehouse and distribution operations within a large, intricate setting, leveraging modern ERP systems and technology. Ability to effectively implement Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging business acumen to ensure that commercial initiatives deliver scalable and sustainable outcomes for the future.
- Display effective leadership and management capabilities, fostering high-performing teams. Emphasis on continuous improvement, exceptional customer service, efficient service delivery, and maintaining commercial viability.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality, high-volume, customer-centric shared service processes in complex, large-scale government agencies or similar organizations.
- Possess well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of positive working relationships, effective negotiation with influence, and proficient management of stakeholder expectations.

Leave Entitlements

- long service leave of 13 weeks leave after 10 years continuous service.
