The manager is responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Shared Service Associate Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and evaluating the accounts payable and receivable registers to validate charges and ensure timely and accurate payments and receipt of payments.
  • Monitoring account aging reports, identifying delinquent accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies.
  • Verifying customer credit limits that set by treasury and confirming payment terms.
  • Designing and implementing standard policies and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant financial records.
  • Working to improve the procedures of the accounts payable and receivable functions to create efficiency.

Qualification & Requirements

The Chosen Professional Should Have The Following Skills

  • Ability to manage the day-to-day operations of the AR/AP department, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Review and validate the accounts payable and receivable registers, monitors aging reports, and identifies delinquent accounts for collection actions.
  • Assist in the design standard policies and procedures for efficient financial operations.
  • Should hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required, along with extensive knowledge of accounting processes and departmental functions.
  • Play a crucial role in the financial health of an organization by ensuring timely collections and payments, conducting credit checks, negotiating with clients in non-payment cases, and preparing forecast reports.
  • Support and train AR/AP Clerks, ensuring that all team members follow accounting principles and stay updated on industry changes.
  • Role requires experience in a supervisory capacity, demonstrating the ability to manage a team, meet departmental goals, and adhere to approved budgets.
  • The position demands excellent analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, good communication skills and a strong problem-solving attitude.
  • A CPA certification, while not required, can be an added advantage for the role.
