GCC Job Description – Senior Manager – Trans Compliance
Job Title: Senior Manager – Trans compliance
Business Line : Transportation Compliance
Shift Timings: 05:00 PM – 02:00 PM IST should be willing to work from office with global working windows
Key Responsibilities
- Constant daily communication with the team via email and/or over the phone.
- Ensure team members are on track with scheduled day-to-day work. Provide any necessary guidance
- Manage their working hours of service using in-house tool.
- Communicate with front end hub and/or end disposal location as needed. Ensure trailers,
- Daily and Weekly planning of team
- Communication with HR/Trans Compliance/H&S as needed. Incident management
- Review open requisitions/ Scheduled interviews/ onboarding status of new hires
- Review/self-audit driver payroll (both company and owner Opp if applicable). Ensure all payroll related items are accurate and match the work completed. Approve
- Review employee training report. Communicate with team members on training status, due dates, etc.
- Weekly daily conference calls. Freight, special projects, major facilities, etc. Team meetings.
- Ensure the controls are working fine
- Review FMEA and update accordingly
Qualification & Requirements
Skills/ Expectations:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in OTR (Over the Road trucking) in USA (preferred)
- Working knowledge of US DOT (US Department of Transport) and fleet compliance (preferred)
- High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work with a variety of managers, each with different skills and personalities
- Effective organizational skills and time management skills.
- Ability to understand and produce reports and provide analytics.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to think strategically and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage change.
- Ability to understand issues and resolve/address strategically.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good organizational skills, decisiveness, and initiative.
- Self-starter with ability to make sound financial and operational decisions with limited direction.
Academic / Experience / Background requirements:
- Overall 12+ years’ of experience in Transportation & Logistics Management.
- 2+ years’ experience with accountability/responsibility for financial KPI results (Required)
- 2+ years’ experience managing a remote service workforce related to transportation/delivery services (Required)
- Experience managing a remote service workforce related to transportation/delivery services abroad Preferably USA, Europe, etc.
- Post Graduate MBA / preferably in Transportation & Logistics.
