Lead the transformation of finance operations across Sub-Saharan Africa as their Head of Shared Services Centre!

Lead the Shared Services Centre Finance operations for their Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Asset processes, while driving standardisation, digitalisation, and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically and operationally manage SSC Finance for the Sub-Saharan Africa Region.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Oversee month-end/year-end closings, group reporting, and external audits.
  • Drive digital transformation and implement tools for O2C, P2P, and process improvements.
  • Standardise finance processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Lead and develop a team of 30, fostering skills and competencies.
  • Collaborate with Regional Treasury for cash flow and forex matters.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor KPIs, ensuring performance and service excellence.

Key Challenges:

  • Balancing stakeholder expectations with operational efficiency.
  • Driving continuous process improvement and team development.
  • Maintaining high standards of professionalism and service delivery.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Education: Honours Degree (B.Com Accounting preferred), MBA advantageous.
  • Experience: Over 10 years in SSC Finance in an international context, with exposure across Africa.
  • Skills:
  • Strong IFRS, tax, treasury, and budgeting expertise.
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Proven leadership in change management and digitalisation.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and resilient with strong interpersonal skills.
