Description

We are currently looking for a new team member for the Corporate Law team, who will help us and the Ignitis Group achieve a common goal – corporate governance based on best practices and enabling business. Our in-house legal team is exceptionally qualified and professional, playing a crucial role as a business partner within the Group. We possess extensive knowledge and experience across various legal fields. Our team is curious, dynamic, and friendly. We’re looking for more brilliant people.

CHIEF LEGAL EXPERT

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert corporate law and governance support to Ignitis Renewables Board and Executive Team.
  • Drafting and ensuring respective legal documentation is in conformity with laws, company interests, and best international practices (explanatory memorandums, board minutes, shareholder resolutions, etc.).
  • Leading other corporate lawyers working on Ignitis Renewables entities’ corporate matters, providing feedback on corporate documents.
  • Assisting the business team in finding unconventional legal solutions for various practical corporate law issues, participating in projects implemented by the Group, ensuring the management of legal matters within them.
  • Being responsible for the overall supervision of the corporate governance of Ignitis Renewables.
  • Overseeing the EU Corporate Governance Framework and governance area policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the delivery of initiatives and roadmaps aimed at improving governance.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications

  • Higher education in law (master‘s degree).
  • 7+ years of professional post-qualification experience in-house or in a law firm in respective areas of expertise.
  • Comfort to work in cross-cultural teams, collaborating across country boundaries with a sense of diversity and inclusion.
  • Outstanding team working skills and the ability to build excellent relationships at senior level.
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and English languages (both spoken and written).

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience in energy/renewables sector
