Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for full set accounts and manage daily finance operation activities including payments, approved invoices and follow up with shipping team on finance related matters.
- Interact and work cross-functionally with a wide range of other internal business partners and provide accounting support and guidance as required.
- Review and analyze financial performance, cost and margin analysis, and report any abnormalities to the Senior Management for immediate corrective action.
- Responsible to meet all deadlines for period end financial reporting, statutory reporting and bank covenants compliance and bank queries.
- Monitor month end activities and review critical control accounts are closed with accurate information reported including financial statements, annual budgeting and management reporting.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax agent, statutory and government bodies to ensure audit/tax queries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Account for and analyzing hedging fluctuations in relation to interest rates swap, foreign exchange rates and effects in revaluation currency against reporting system.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement policy and procedures to strengthen internal controls, and actively participate in finance digitization projects.
- Ability to manage shared services expectation
- Serve as liaison between finance and trading operations.
- Ability to perform job duties with little management oversight.
- Other ad hoc tasks related to projects assigned by Senior Financial Controller/Senior Manager.
Qualification & Requirements
- At least 8 years of strong working experience in commodity environment / manufacturing (agriculture trading/supply chain and plantation is an added advantage)
- Candidate with prior working experience in BIG 4 with professional accounting qualification including ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and or CPA will be an added advantage
- Sound presentation skill and excellent communication and writing skill to deliver messages.
- Mature, proactive, out-spoken and able to develop and motivate a team
- Highly responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-tasks
- Commercially-oriented with high energy, a ‘can-do’ attitude and hands-on
- Operationally in tune with the business with a keen eye for analysis and details
- Ability to work in a matrix and multi cultural environment and coordinate personnel with diverse skills and experiences to accomplish overall planning goals.

- Strong interpersonal skill to deal with shared services and all business functions
