EDConnect is the Department’s Shared Service Centre, delivering integrated transactional and advisory services for the Department. EDConnect offers information, support and advice to schools and education support teams, for a wide range of services including business services, finance, human resources, ICT and procurement.

Snr Manager Insur Risk & Claims Mag

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is a member of EDConnect’s Business Services and Enablement function that delivers business-critical services to EDConnect, its partners and customers.
  • The role leads a team to deliver insurance, risk and claims management services to schools and education support teams.
  • This role will see you develop business plans, coordinate resources and lead the strategic direction of the functional area.
  • The role designs, implements and evaluates innovative solutions that meet business/functional objectives, continuous improvement targets and informs strategic planning.

Qualification & Requirements

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, and/or demonstrated successful experience in office or project management in a Shared Services / Contact Centre environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Significant experience across a range of business functions, with a focus on insurance risk and claims management, relevant to this role.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check. 

This is a child-related role. As a condition of employment, you will be required to provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number and complete a National Criminal Record Check.
