Description
The planned MAN Global Business Services (GBS) will become part of MAN Truck & Bus SE and thus a newly founded organizational unit that will be responsible for bundling, standardizing and efficiently designing company-wide end-to-end business processes. MAN GBS will provide support services in areas such as finance, human resources, sales support and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall technical and disciplinary management of the MAN GBS Delivery Centers at several international locations with a direct reporting line to the Head of GBS
- Construction of the planned delivery center in Portugal
- Central contact for the provision of the “daily business” of the delivery centers and the associated assurance of the agreed performance and quality in accordance with the service contract
- Definition and conception of measures for the further development of GBS locations as well as coordination of the establishment of new locations in Europe, Asia and potentially other regions
- Design and responsibility for the ramp-up and smooth transition of new services into MAN GBS
- Management of the directly assigned Center Heads and overall responsibility for a staff of currently planned >500 employees (of which ~300 employees from the existing Shared Service Center Poznań)
- Close cooperation with the project management, the transition teams and the global process owners of GBS to implement standardization, digitization of processes and to establish cross-site knowledge exchange
- Responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies for recruitment, retention, talent development and fluctuation management within the delivery centers
Qualification & Requirements
- Completed studies in business administration, economics or a comparable course of study
- More than 10 years of professional experience in setting up and managing shared service centers in Western Europe of at least comparable size to MAN GBS
- Extensive international experience in managing large, international teams (>150 team members) and a broad network in Western Europe (especially Portugal)
- Extensive experience in setting up and scaling global delivery centers as well as in managing transition and ramp-up projects
- In-depth industry knowledge and experience in process optimization and implementation of cross-business programs and transformations
- Sound knowledge and experience in finance & accounting as well as other knowledge-based shared service activities such as order processing and sales support
- Excellent analytical skills, a high degree of entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to manage complex operational processes using a structured, analytical approach
- Strong leadership skills, team orientation and extensive intercultural experience
- Professional appearance and very good communication skills across all hierarchical levels
- Willingness to travel worldwide for business trips
- Fluent written and spoken English (other foreign languages are an advantage)
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
