Description

As a Senior Manager, Business Risk and Reporting, you will provide expertise, advice, and counsel to senior management to enhance our ability to anticipate and manage business risk effectively. You will oversee the strategic and tactical design and guidelines for WM Operational Risk & Shared Services programs including operational risk events (OREs), risk appetite, key risk indicator, risk reporting and risk and control assessment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure processes and controls exist to deliver robust and informative business risk management reporting.
  • Act as a key liaison to Global Risk Management (GRM) on new developments, new policy requirements, or issues of management interest and ensure new significant business risk directives/requirements are disseminated.
  • Manage a team of 7 Managers/Sr Analysts
  • Provide oversight support for various risk activities across most risk categories: monitor aging of risk assessments; provide risk committees with required tools, reporting and expertise.
  • Support Wealth Management WM Operational Risk & Shared Services and other WM risk practitioners globally on any special projects. Develop strategic approach, ascertain objectives, determine resource and reporting requirements, and engage others within the business to help fulfil execution requirements.
  • Provide expert Business Risk guidance on significant new change initiatives.
  • Build and sustain robust linkages with internal Centres of Governance, GRM, other Business Risk teams and essential infrastructural areas supporting the business to enable line of sight over new and emerging risk issues meriting escalation and or action and satisfy information needs for reporting and risk assessment activity

Qualification & Requirements

Must-have:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in leading operational risk practices, audit, or compliance functions
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of 7 reporting managers/Sr Analysts
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, research, and quantitative skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present information effectively
  • Ability to deal effectively with senior managers and multiple stakeholders
  • People management experience

Nice-to-have:

  • MBA or CA or CFA
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management products, processes, and organization
  • Ability to create an impact on the business and influence others
  • Demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft Office programs
  • Tableau experience
