Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate electronic trading agreements, brokerage services agreements, commission sharing agreements, environmental brokerage services agreements, NDAs, and introducing broker agreements.
- Primary sales and trading legal coverage for BGC, including Fenics, and GFI entities.
- Review licensing requirements to approve cross-border transactions.
- Work closely with business, compliance, legal risk, and operations to facilitate new business while appropriating and managing risk.
- Provide guidance on new products and businesses.
- Back-up coverage for negotiating prime brokerage agreements, Master Repurchase Agreements, Master Securities Lending Agreements, and ISDAs.
- Role is based in NYC as part of the Sales and Trading Legal team.
Qualification & Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5- 10 years of legal experience, preferably with in-house legal experience.
- The successful candidate is a detail-oriented, collaborative team player, who thrives in a dynamic, exciting environment, fitting with the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
