Do you enjoy being a hands-on technical manager? You have found the right team! You will have upwards of 6 direct reports in this role, and need to have prior management experience to be consiered.
As a Data Analyst Manager, Vice President in the Share Services Data, Analytics, and Tools team, you will be an integral part of the Strategy & Innovation Office within the Client Service & Implementations organization. You will be responsible for leading delivery of infrastructure and analytics solutions supporting product and process changes across Payments. You will manage a team of technologists specializing in business tech tools like Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and WorkFront to build, own and operate the infrastructure and solutions to enable the key objectives of the larger organization. Utilizing your hands-on technical experience and demonstrating your thought leadership, you are able to analyze data, organize and facilitate meetings, present to a diverse cross-functional audience, and have the ability to tie drivers and insights in a meaningful way to help business leaders understand the ‘So What’ behind these numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop nimble solutions for data architecture, identifying and building tools to deliver automation and powerful visualizations
- Provide robust analytics and reporting to assist the business in moving forward with data-driven decisions
- Lead Design Thinking processes with an ability to assess requirements from a range of stakeholders and develop scalable and innovative solutions.
- Drive technical sessions with upstream teams to gather and integrate various data elements into reporting for downstream stakeholders.
- Drive complex multi-stakeholder projects with significant impact to the business end-to-end including defining problem statement and vision, gathering requirements, documentation, training, roll out and support
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, project standards and procedures ensuring consistency and clarity among all partners and stakeholders
- Evaluate existing manual processes to identify inefficiencies and risks, and to design and deliver automated solutions
- Coach team members on execution of projects across the JPMorgan Payments domain
Qualification & Requirements
Required
- Experience managing teams of technologists to drive innovation delivering appropriate solutions
- First hand development and maintenance experience in Business Intelligence and data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, Cognos, Excel, and Business Objects to create analytic insights for data visualization
- Experience working with large and disparate relational databases such as HIVE, Impala, Teradata, Snowflake, and AWS Redshift and with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools
- Develop data visualizations and reporting using Tableau for executive-level audiences
- Familiarity with API experiences and design
- Experience delivering complex process improvement and technology initiatives at scale, collaborating with multiple teams / functions, and driving change within large organizations
- Strong presentation skills
- Exposure to strategic planning process including business case development
- Demonstrated experience managing through influence, collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders
- Superior judgment to mitigate risk and foster an environment with strong controls
Preferred
- 7+ years of related experience in data management, analytics, and strategic reporting
- Working knowledge of payments and/or card industry
- Data mining skills with applied statistics experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline such as engineering, finance, or mathematics
- Advanced degree
- Financial Services or FinTech experience
