Description

Responsible for COFCO’s transactional processes in the areas of Accounting, Tax Calculation, Tax Receipt, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Service Contracts, Freight and Consumer Account Management, ensuring process efficiency through compliance with area KPIs and SLAs.
This position has a direct report to the Brazil CFO.

Shared Service Center Senior Manager – Brazil

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for the SSC, aligned with the objectives of each business but mainly aligned with the Company’s procedures;
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in the SSC processes and systems, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce costs;
  • Collaborate with other functional areas and business leaders to ensure efficient service delivery;
  • Manage the calculation of Federal, State, and Municipal taxes, aiming to collect debts or/and refund tax benefits in accordance with current legislation. Guarantee the delivery of ancillary obligations within the established deadlines;
  • Ensure control of service contracts, leases, and the like, from when the supply process is received until the contract is finalized;
  • Manage COFCO’s financial control involving Accounts Payable and Receivable operations, ensuring write-offs and controls and advances made to suppliers, following the policies established by COFCO;
  • Responsible for ensuring COFCO’s entire Freight and Transit operation, from contracting services, launches, and accurate payments;
  • Responsible for seeking the efficiency of the operations of the SSC areas through the SLAs agreed with each business leader;
  • Ensure accounting reconciliation of COFCO INTL companies in Brazil, aiming to meet accounting standards and in line with global Controllership guidelines;
  • Ensure compliance with the budget and manage expenses under its management in line with company policies and area objectives;
  • Promote continuous improvement and automation of the processes under its management and implement the necessary controls to mitigate risks and losses to the Company;
  • Responsible for complying with current laws and internal procedures and being the reference COFCO’sO’s ethical standards and values;
  • Seek unification and standardization of processes transacting activities for SSC.

Qualification & Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Administration, or related areas

  • MBA/Post – Controllership, Financial Management and People Management

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must have 7+ years of experience in the SSC area.
  • Fluency in English or minimal advanced level
  • Experience working in a Multinational company in a matrix environment and also in the agribusiness sector
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Effective management and leadership skills with a high verbal and written communication ability
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience with SAP system
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial management, calculations, internal control, and financial reporting and processes
  • Experience in iSLA’senting SLAs and huge KPI’sol of KPIs
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Hands-on
  • Must have a strong ability to interact effectively with different hierarchical levels.
  • Ability and ease with new technologies, bringing innovative solutions to businesses
  • Proven experience in leading teams in a Shared Services Center area
  • Specialization in the accounting area will be a differential;
  • Mobility to live and work in São José do Rio Preto city.
