Description

We are recruiting a Senior Product Manager to Hybrid Cloud Services to work with a group of Product Managers and Associate Product Managers to lead on the Public Cloud Shared Services Service offer across DWP ultimately being the overarching Product Manager across a number of shared services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be instrumental in ensuring HCS teams and external stakeholders understand the purpose and value of HCS and our shared services.
  • Be responsible for understanding problems our DWP Product Development Units (PDU’s) face when deploying and hosting applications to Public Cloud.
  • Understand user and business needs, in order to build out the backlog of work and a road map of features prioritised based on value delivered to the business.
  • Ensure user and business needs are at the heart of product development.
  • Drive consistency and quality.
  • Lead and support a number of Product Development squads who have the autonomy to own and solve problems.
  • Support squads in building products/designing services effectively including incident management and service support.
  • Contribute to the service design of Hybrid Cloud services driving consistency across the user experience.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Lead Criteria: Have provided leadership and taken accountability for development of a product strategy and its road map, delivering hosting solutions that have been reused by application teams.
  • Managed a product through the different stages of the product life-cycle with a different range of stakeholder engagement approaches at each stage.
  • Experience of working across different departments to effectively communicate a product vision (where end users were engineers) and gain stakeholder buy in.
  • Have managed and mentored agile product teams who have solved problems in order to deliver highly quality engineering products and services.
